Hey everyone! Just a small note that we are still alive and kicking.

Right now, all available efforts are focused on building our Installer. The basic core for the installer is set, however it's not functional. We have, unfortunately, hit a small roadblock in regards to cross RDBMS compatibility which is preventing us from pushing on.

The next version will be named Alpha 5, and will be distributed to all staff as well as a few people we will personally select. If you are selected you will be notified privately will further instruction on where to download and how to install. We will also notify you about the caveats that apply to downloading and running the private Alpha.

The Private Alpha is only private in the sense that the only people who are allowed to download the software are those we pick. The Alpha installations may be made viewable by the general public, should the Alpha Tester want to do so. The software itself, however, will not be download-able by the general public until Beta.

This private alpha is being done primarily to test the Installer and default behavior post-installation, and to eventually test the Upgrade Script when Beta 1 rolls around. So, it should be known that Alpha 5 is the last Alpha before we move on the Beta, and allow everyone to download and use.

We're also discussing some architectural changes that may need to be made to the final Alpha. I will keep you posted on new developments as they come.

Thanks. Smile
